TERM 2 ALAW NEWS

On Monday, March10th Year Six pupils has cycling lessons. We learnt about the safety when riding on the roads and to have a licence to ride to school.

We learnt lots of things such as– RIGHT TURNS, ROAD SAFETY, DANGER OF PARKED CARS, LOOKING OVER THE RIGHT SHOULDER, CONTROLLED AND EMERGENCY STOPS AND U-TURNS.

We all thought that the lessons were excellent and we all enjoyed the experience. Hopefully we will be a lot safer on the roads now!    

TERM 1 NEWS

In Alaw this term we have been studying World War Two. We have been given information on rationing, Adolf Hitler and evacuation; those are the main things we have studied so far. In geography we have studied global warming and how it is caused. In our weekly lesson with Miss Williams we have been studying Poetry, and in those lessons we have done similes, metaphors, rhymes alliterations. In R.E. we have done the Jewish year and how they celebrate.

In English we have been reading ‘goodnight Mr Tom.’ And in science we have been working on Materials, we have mixed solids, liquids and gasses.
