The Tudors

Last week in the Tudors we learned about the crime and punished in Tudor times. We had seven punishments and seven crimes they were all in the wrong order we had to put them in the right order with a partner and it was fun. We learned about the black death too it was the most awful disease. We finished studying the Tudors this term.

English

In English we learned about writing clear instructions. We made a jam sandwich and wrote instructions that we should follow. It was fun making a jam sandwich.

Geography

In geography we learned about activities in Snowdonia. We looked at the activities you can do, like biking, climbing, walking, kayaking.

The other thing we did is visitors code. A visitors code is when you have to respect the rules like don’t feed the birds please .

TERM 1 NEWS

In Padarn we have been learning about many things. We have been on a visit to ‘Plas Mawr’ in Conwy and we have had a visit from ‘Keystrings’. They came into the school to teach us about ‘stringed instruments’

In our work, we have been learning about many things. Here are some of the things we have been doing:- 

English– Facts and opinions, prefixes and suffixes, writing a newspaper report. Capital letters and fullstops.

History– We have been learning about the Tudors, The Battle of Bosworth, and how Henry became the King Henry VII. We also learnt about King Henry VIII. Did you know he had six wives?

RE– We have been learning about Islam.  

In computers we had a lot of fun. We have written an e-mail to Santa Claus and he has written one back to us! Great!
